Green week poster!
This is my Green week poster! It was fun to make. What can you do to help the environment? Comment your answer!
Green week writing part two
Stumbling along carelessly, the dusty road crumbling beneath him, the man splashed a trickle of water up from beneath him. The town of Gorseville had not expected to have the flood so soon but the sea levels were rising and they should have seen it coming. You might be safe at home reading this or snuggling under your cozy, woolen blankets sipping at a frothy hot chocolate but believe me not every one is that lucky and the people of Gorseville are more than just unlucky. "But who is this mysterious man?" the people of Gorseville silently murmured like waves crashing up on a beach. Gruffly, the strange figure leaned down and after a few tries lifted up a satisfying amount of water in his cupped hands and unpredictably gulped it down and said the words ecaps, emit, levart. stringing around him a rope of golden glitter lit up the street and he was gone. No one knows where but if you solve the code of the words he said then you will know and you can decide what you would do then if you were the man...

Green week writing part 1
Plunging down into the bottomless blue, I let myself free of worry, work and stress. There were no problems fogging my brain. Enclosing around me, the blueness seemed to mutter in my ear secrets only the ocean would know. Off in another world, I floated calmly. Drifting away, I concentrated on nothing except happiness so I did not notice that a giant of the blue was lurking right below me. Brushing against the sole of my leather diving shoes, the monster swum carelessly along devouring every shrimp or fish that was unlucky enough to fall into its path. Shaking my head and coming back into focus I suddenly realized that danger was engulfing me. A humongous whale settled under me waiting to strike me because I was a bigger portion and to him a banquet. Becoming dizzy with fear, a thought occurred to me like a candle suddenly lighting in my head. The maximum of a whales meals is the size of a grapefruit. I wasn't going to become it's next meal. Snap! I took a few photos before clambering up onto the boat like Ivy creeping up a rickety fence. I was safe and I had some amazing footage of my adventure in the endless sea.

The Great Drain Game
1.
Today we had the great drain game! It was very interesting and factual. Our first activity was VR goggles and wetlands talk. The VR goggles showed a mission to save birds and then it was scuba diving. Then we had a wetland talk and did you know that the brown dirty water that went into our model came out normal! I learnt about the animals that live there and also how it works.
2.
We then did our second activity which was finding drains around the school! We have a lot of drains so maybe you could count! Me and my friend found 25 drains but others found 30 or more. We learnt that drains are important but also we don't want leaves in our drains because we need them for soil and we don't want soil in the sea!
3.
Our third and final activity was my personal favourite. We each got given a bottle of something and we put it next to we thought it should go. The options were: Toilet, bin, drain or sink. I had detergent which I put in the sink. We learnt about where they go after being put in. Things in your house go to a place called Water Waste Treatment Plant where they become good water. Things in the drain go to the ocean so be careful what you put in the drain!
Finally we chose a pledge. Mine was to bike, scooter or walk small distances instead of driving.
How can you help the environment?

Save the elephants story
No one warned me it would happen so soon, there were hints but we were too scared to say it out loud. Until today when everything changed… Elephants have been hunted for years now but my herd was only just attacked today. Slowly, I trudge on, dragging my feet along the dusty crumbling path. I feel like I’m dead. Like I’ve vanished from the earth. I just feel kind of empty… Like a part of me is gone and it is. Years ago my father was killed by creatures wanting his tusks. Defending his herd, he died bravely. Today unexpectedly, my mother had the same terrible thing happen to her. Deep down I know that my parents would have wanted me to continue without them and deep down inside I hope that my story will have a happily ever after...
Startled, a 10 year old girl woke up from a dream. A horrible, hideous dream. Elephants were being killed, a baby was being tortured from it’s parent’s tragic death. Suddenly, a thought occurred to Nelly. Usually her dreams meant things like when she dreamed about a new teacher at school who let them do art all day and a few months later the same teacher arrived at her real school. But that was different, that was a good thing. “I’ll think about it later.” she thought and she stumbled, grumbling to the kitchen for breakfast. Strangely, as she was having cereal she heard a knock on the door. No one in her family was up yet and she pondered over what to do. “Come in!” she bravely cried out. The most peculiar looking figure approached her. “I am the problem solver or more often called Santa Claus” the figure boomed. “I cannot stop the death of elephants but I can help you…”
The future… In the future everything is blue. Lapping around bodies, the water is silent. In fact, everything is silent… the problem hasn’t been fixed… dry, hard animal bones scatter the ocean. Humans have developed to this new blue world but some species were far too late. But, this future hasn’t happened yet so we can stop it from happening and save the elephants!!!!
My writing was based on the death of elephants I hope you liked it and are inspired to save the elephants. Comment what your favourite animal is!

Athletics day
Yesterday was athletics day ): I was sad because I don't like sports.
We chattered cheerfully on the walk there but after two minute at the actual place we had already had enough. It was a blazing hot day and there wasn't any shade except for a small blue gazebo with ice packs. My water bottle had frozen over night and my straw got stuck and I couldn't sip out of it. Sweat dribbled down our faces from the heat. I had to keep topping up layers and layers of sunscreen till my skin shined like crystals. Racers came back looking completely wasted. We all walked home boiling hot and wishing for teleportation.
