Green week bird talk!

Today Mrs Best came to talk to us about native birds and pests. Mrs Best used to do garden to table but now she works for D.O.C (Department of conservation).

We learnt about what native birds eat and how we can stop pests e.g stoats, ferrets, possums. It was very interesting and here are some cool facts that I learnt:

1.  Tui pollenate flowers so that fruit can grow.
2. Kereru's jobs are to eat berries and poop them out so trees can grow.
3. People brought possums to New Zealand to make coats out of their soft fur.

How will you be remembered?

1. A person who is my hero is J.K Rowling
2. This person is my hero because she is a single mother with a kid, writes my favourite books which are some of the most famous books in the world and gives half her money to charity.
3. Two words that describe this person are inspirational and creative.
4. One thing the person does that I admire is write the most amazing books.
5. One way I can be more like my hero is by keep trying because J.K Rowling went to a lot of publishers before one agreed to publish her first book.

I checked on my sister at lunch time and morning tea when it was lock down drill because she might be scared.

When I am writing

This is my when I am ... years old writing. It is saying what I will be like when I'm older it stars at my next birthday and goes till Twenty five. Some of these things probably won't happen but there is always chance. A tip from me if you were doing this would be imagine that you were that age.
This is a fun thing to do so you should try it too!

My stargazer Writing

 This is my stargazer writing I am very proud of it because I put a lot of hard work into it and made sure to start some of the sentences with words that were not simple like that, the, it or I. I love space and after reading this story I'm sure you will too.📗📜 P.S this is my drawing.

Venus DLO

This is my Venus DLO ( Digital learning object)
I found answering the questions fun.
The most interesting thing I learnt while doing this was that Venus is the same size as Earth.
A tip from me if you were doing this would be to include pictures with every slide.
I now know a lot about Venus and I'm sure after reading this you will too.

Sun DLO

This is my Sun DLO ( Digital learning object)
I found it fun making my story f how Maui slowed the sun.
The most interesting thing I learnt doing this was that we are actually far away from the sun.
A tip from me doing this would be to use pictures from the book How Maui Slowed the Sun.
I now know a lot about the sun and I'm sure after reading this you will too!

Earth DLO

This is my Earth DLO (Digital learning object)
I surprisingly know more about Earth after making it than I thought I would because I live on Earth.
It was difficult doing the google Earth photos because I didn't understand what it said.
A tip from me when doing this would be using pictures in your Genialy.
I now know a lot about Earth and I'm sure after reading this you will too.

Neptune DLO

This is my Neptune  DLO (Digital learning object)
I answered questions, wrote a postcard from Neptune and did a really informing Genialy.
I found that pretending to be on Neptune was really fun!
The most interesting thing I learnt while doing this task was that Neptune is not actually that big.
A tip from me if you were doing this would be   to include pictures and videos to make it more interesting.
I now know a lot about Neptune and I'm sure after reading this you will too!
