Vector visit

This week a woman who worked for Vector came to our school and taught us about electricity.

They were at our school so they could get the message out about saving electricity.

Here are four facts I learnt:

  • Electricity can be made in many different ways.
  • Water goes gushing down and spins something which sends momentum up the  wire and onto the power.
  • Fossil fuels create smoke that spreads over Earth and makes it warm which is one of the causes for global warming.
  • If you get an electric car and solar power you can save solar energy with a giant battery but if there is no sun you can use electricity which costs three dollars and petrol costs one hundred dollars so all in all its a great deal!
Here's a tip from me:
don't use up to much electricity!

  3. Kia ora Franny, my name is Liam from room 24.
I really liked your post about electricity.
have you ever thought about using solar panels to get electricity.
I think it is a good and bad idea because it is free.
And i think it is bad because if it is not sunny you do not get electricity.
